A Breitling classic, the Chronomat is a robust chronograph watch with a touch of luxury and sophistication!
The name Chronomat comes from the fusion of the terms “Chronograph” and “Mathematics”, as it first appeared in the 1940s as a watch aimed at engineers and mathematicians, as it was a chronograph equipped with a slide rule. The modern version of the Chronomat, however, with this characteristic design, was born in 1984, now aimed especially at pilots.
With its striking and exclusive design, maintaining its DNA to this day, it stands out for its polished steel pilot case and bracelet, the unidirectional rotating bezel with the famous “riders tabs” (protectors) at the 15, 30, 45 and 60 minute positions in 18k gold and the onion-style crown also in gold. In this model, the black dial also features the famous Breitling logo in high relief and the gold subdials.
It is certainly a watch that does not go unnoticed, standing out among collectors and those passionate about classic watchmaking.
With its 40mm diameter case, it fits most men's wrists very well. It has a steel bracelet for wrists up to 18.5cm, which is rare to find in this model. Produced in the mid-1990s, it no longer has a box or documents. Equipped with the B13 movement (Valjoux 7750 base), recently revised, presenting excellent performance.
An excellent choice for those who want a classic, robust, iconic and versatile watch!
