Very rare Cartier Palissandre from Rio Wood.

Produced for only a short period of time, between 1975 and 1976, when the Cartier companies were unified, this watch is also known by the nickname “Bois” or “Cartier La Nature”, or even “Tank Organic”, and is a beautiful example of the exotic models that Cartier produced during this period.

Despite the traditional “Tank” design, the case and dial of this model are made of Jacaranda wood (Brazilian rosewood), also known as Palissandre De Rio, with applied gold Roman indexes, a yellow gold-plated case and a cabochon crown.

There are reports that only 3,000 examples of this model were produced, a factor that, added to the difficulty of maintaining a case and dial made of wood, since they are exposed to different light and temperatures, which can crack, makes it an extremely rare item to be found in this condition.
