A robust and reliable vintage automatic diving watch produced in the late 1970s and early 1980s.

This model is often compared to the Seiko 6309 “Turtle,” and is considered Citizen’s answer to this diver’s icon. However, the 51-2273 is rarer on the collector’s market. Some units were issued to naval special forces, and feature control numbers engraved on the caseback, which further enhances its historical value.
