The Citizen 67-9356 is known as the “bullhead” because of its distinctive case design and the position of the chronograph pushers and crown at the top, resembling the horns of a bull. This style was designed to make the chronograph easier to wear on the wrist, especially for drivers and pilots.
Launched in the late 1970s, at a time when the watch industry was undergoing a revolution with the introduction of the first automatic chronographs, it quickly became one of the Japanese brand’s most iconic models. Developed to compete with renowned Swiss models of the time, such as chronographs from Heuer, Seiko and Omega, Citizen entered this market with its own line of chronographs powered by the caliber 8110A, an advanced mechanical movement with a flyback function that allowed the chronograph to be restarted without having to stop it first.
This beautiful piece has a 38mm diameter steel case, lightly polished but maintaining its original lines. The mechanism has been recently overhauled and is in perfect working order. Signed crown. Completely original, it is in excellent condition, showing the expected signs of use and time.
