This silver lacquer technique was developed in the early 20th century by Sakamoto Shoten and results in this beautiful and unique smoke-blue dial, with a distinctive, lustrous texture created by applying and subsequently heating multiple layers of lacquer.

Thus, each dial possesses its own unique beauty and texture—a work of art protected by a sapphire crystal and housed in a 38mm-diameter steel case.
