Great watch for those looking for a vintage, sophisticated and exclusive chronograph!
Cyma is a Swiss brand with enormous historical weight, having even been one of the suppliers of the famous “Dirty Dozen” to the allies in the Second World War.
This 1940s model has some very special features. Models from that era usually used the Valjoux 22 or Venus 165/175 movement with two registers, but this one is equipped with the rare Valjoux 71 — like some Abercrombie & Fitch Co., Benrus, Eterna, and famous Heuer chronographs from the same period. This model also has the pulsations scale, also known as “Doctor's”, which is less common on the market than the Multi-Scale.
The watch features a refurbished champagne Tri-Compax dial with Arabic numerals and an exotic snake-style hand at 6 o'clock. The solid 18K gold case measures 38mm and 43mm lug to lug, has elongated pushers on the actuators and a crown that maintains the proportions very well balanced.
For those who love vintage chronographs, this is a great opportunity to add an elegant, unique, solid gold model to your collection. The watch has been serviced and is working perfectly. Signed movement, pressure-wound caseback, and domed acrylic glass.
