Leonidas, the second version of Heuer's Easy Rider line.

In 1970, Heuer successfully launched its line of automatic chronographs—such as the Autavia, Carrera, and Monaco—and continued to offer many chronographs powered by traditional Valjoux movements. But when Japanese manufacturers began offering cheaper quartz watches, it became clear that Heuer needed to offer some more affordable chronographs, especially models that would appeal to younger buyers.

To offer more affordable chronographs that would appeal especially to younger buyers, Heuer developed an entirely new chronograph collection – the Easy Rider. With a forward-looking style designed for the 1970s, the Easy Rider would combine the imagery of popular culture (or, indeed, counterculture) with the romance of a handsome and talented motorsport hero: Jacky Ickx.

Unmissable watch: extremely rare and all original, working perfectly and in excellent condition. Comes with original Tropic 23318 bracelet with no signs of wear. Does not include box or manuals.
