This 1950 model from the Genève collection is quite special for several reasons. It is part of the early days of this renowned Omega line, when it used an italic inscription. Note the “crosshair” style on the dial and the “hat” crown. In addition, the applied indexes and “dauphine” hands perfectly match the uniform patina that has developed naturally over time.

Interestingly, the Genève line was created in homage to the Omega workshops in Geneva, and was discontinued in 1979, as local laws established that a brand had to have a presence in the canton of Geneva to include this term or any variation on the dial.
