At the heart of this model beats the 6139 calibre, known as the first automatic chronograph to be marketed.

This same caliber equipped the Seiko 6139-6005, with a yellow dial, which would have been the first automatic chronograph to go into space on the wrist of American Colonel William Pogue, on the Skylab 4 mission, in 1973, together with his Omega Speedmaster Professional (Moonwatch), the official watch for space missions certified by NASA.

This advert is nicknamed "Baby Jumbo" because it resembles the Seiko 6138-300X, known as "Jumbo" due to its large size.

We chose this racing-style leather strap because, in the past, these chronographs were commonly used to measure time and calculate the speed of racing cars. The moss green color gives it a military feel and harmonizes with its indexes.
