A symbol of Seiko's success in developing ultra-compact chronographs, the 7016-5011 nicknamed "Monaco" represents a milestone in functional and minimalist design.

In the 1960s, several brands competed to launch the world’s first automatic chronograph. Although the Seiko 7016 followed the Seiko caliber 6139 (one of the first automatic chronographs released in 1969), it refined the design and introduced new features, such as the flyback function, which allowed the chronograph to be reset and restarted immediately without having to stop the countdown (a rare feature in mechanical chronographs at the time).

Increasingly rare on the market, this model is in excellent condition, completely original. The dial is in excellent condition overall, with marks on the upper part. The caliber 7016 was recently overhauled and is in perfect working order.
