Description

Short story:

Launched in 2001 and in Sinn's portfolio for 10 years, the Modell 656 was a tool watch aimed at pilots. One of Sinn's strongest pillars is the functionality of its watches, which is evidently reflected in the inspiration that the instruments found on aircraft and helicopter panels provide in models like the 656. When the Modell 556 was introduced in 2008, the 656 began to be gradually phased out of production and remains the pinnacle of the brand's 3-hand pilot watches.

When talking about Sinn, Colin Chapman's motto "less is more" always comes to mind. His watches are truly tools in capital letters! The 656 has an unparalleled contrast between the dial, indexes and hands, making it easy to read the time without the slightest difficulty. The date display is present in a discreet window at 4:30, which allows the complication to be maintained without compromising the aesthetic aspect of the dial (which goes far beyond OCD, it's a question of legibility). The model has a solid screw-down back cover and screw-down crown, ensuring resistance to 200m of depth (in a Pilot's Watch!!!) and the watch also has resistance to magnetic fields in the order of 1000 Gauss. The sapphire crystal has simply the best anti-reflective coating on the market and the caliber is the extremely robust and revered ETA 2824-2 (here in its Elaboree version, regulated by Sinn).
