The Series 6000 represented the pinnacle of Tag Heuer’s pyramid in the 1990s, having been designed by Jorg Hysek.
In addition to maintaining the unidirectional bezel, sapphire crystal and “Mercedez” style hour hand, Hysek integrated the Tag Heuer shield throughout the design of the watch - bottom and top of the case, 12 o'clock marker (inverted shield), 12 o'clock marker on the bezel, as well as the logo in high relief applied to the dial (at 12 o'clock), signed on the crown, engraved on the case back and on the clasp, totaling eight shields.
The complex bracelet made up of 255 individual pieces (with all the links) is a masterpiece in its own right that cannot go unmentioned.
All of this gives this watch a unique and striking design, revealing Tag Heuer’s pride in the success of building diving watches, with the brand launching the 6000 series to represent this achievement.
